This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Perform external research on potential foundation donors utilizing database tools and fundamental internet research.
• Determine donor priorities, application deadlines, and submission requirements.
• Reach out to designated foundations to inquire about opportunities, proposal prerequisites, and timelines.
• Record foundation details in Salesforce CRM and communicate this information with the fundraising team.
• Participate in planning sessions with seasoned fundraisers to create strategies for donor and prospect cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Compose applications and tailor proposals using available resources and templates.
• Ensure that proposals are well-crafted, engaging, aligned with AHA’s strategic objectives and funding requirements, and responsive to donor expectations.
• Document donor strategies and activities in Salesforce CRM utilizing dashboards and reports.
• Provide consistent progress updates as required.
• Undertake special projects as needed.
• Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Adhere to ethical standards and data privacy regulations when researching and handling donor data.
• College seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in nonprofit management, health administration, nonprofit-focused communications, or public administration are encouraged to apply.
• A minimum of one year of experience in research or grants administration with a funding organization, academic institution, or relevant coursework.
• Exceptional writing abilities.
• Strong research skills, including the capacity to conduct in-depth investigations into individuals, companies, and foundations.
• Proficient analytical skills and comfort with both qualitative and quantitative data.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Outstanding problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Capability to work independently and professionally within a corporate setting.
• Capacity to take responsibility for managing projects from initiation to completion.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple priorities across various entities.
• Intermediate to excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Canva.
• Reliable WiFi connection is essential.
• Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5 PM.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
• For remote positions, work must be conducted within the United States and not in a foreign country.
