Intern, Environmental Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation and execution of deliverables for CDC-funded initiatives connected to the State and Territorial Environmental Health Directors Peer Network.

• Offer support for technical assistance inquiries, which includes researching and compiling information on relevant topics for member questions.

• Investigate and produce guidance as well as communication materials addressing environmental public health matters.

• Provide coordination and notetaking services for virtual, telephonic, and face-to-face meetings.

• Aid in the writing and publication of fact sheets, issue briefs, blogs, and other documents for ASTHO’s website.

• Assist with logistics and the development of agendas for webinars, conference sessions, and other in-person meeting requirements.

• Collaborate with internal ASTHO teams to ensure the successful completion of deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program focusing on public health (with an emphasis on environmental health or environmental science).

• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines efficiently.

• Keen attention to detail.
