Intermediate Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the existing engineer on the Platform API.

• Execute the Health Authority Integration from initial scoping to production.

• Reestablish the cadence for code reviews, collaborative work, and design discussions.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of product and pharmacy workflows to effectively scope tasks and address ambiguous requirements.

• Oversee integration initiatives that involve pharmacy networks, practice management systems, and partner APIs.

• Enhance the reliability, observability, and maintainability of various services.

• Engage in client-facing discussions and articulate work clearly.

• Present concerns and suggestions in wider company discussions.

• Strengthen technical ownership and provide mentorship to interns and junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 hours of overlap with Toronto EST business hours (9 am to 5 pm ET).

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience (3 years preferred).

• Strong practical expertise in Node.js, React, TypeScript, AWS, Postgres, and Kafka/SQS.

• A background in computer science with robust knowledge of data structures, APIs, and databases.

• Daily utilization of AI development tools to enhance efficiency without compromising quality.

• Excellent communication skills and comfort in client-facing environments and larger group discussions.

• Familiarity with the NestJS framework (preferred but not mandatory).

• Experience in building or maintaining third-party integrations and partner APIs (preferred but not mandatory).

• Previous experience in healthcare technology, HIPAA compliance, or clinical workflows (preferred but not mandatory).
