Interim Demand Planning Manager – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the retail demand planning and forecasting process by generating forecasts by retailer, item, and week, while monitoring accuracy and bias over time.

• Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to ensure that products are available at the right location and time for retail partners, managing the retail demand input into S&OP.

• Convert retailer POS, inventory, and order data into sell-in forecasts, keeping track of weeks of supply and identifying risks of out-of-stock or overstock situations.

• Work alongside the Sales team to monitor retail performance utilizing SPINS, IRI/Circana, and Nielsen data.

• Create forecasts for new distribution channels, new items, resets, and promotions, while assessing the impact post-launch.

• Collaborate with FP&A and Sales to contribute to the retail segment of the Annual Operating Plan and provide updates for monthly forecasts.

• Assist in scenario planning for retail growth strategies, including new accounts, items, and initiatives.

• Partner with product, operations, marketing, finance, and data teams to assess the implications for retail supply and service levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or S&OP, preferably within the CPG sector.

• Practical experience in forecasting for mass retail accounts and direct engagement with retailer data and replenishment teams.

• A strong grasp of SPINS, IRI/Circana, and Nielsen data reporting is essential.

• Experience with retailer data platforms, such as Walmart Retail Link or Target Partners Online, is preferred.

• Capability to prioritize competing demands, devise solutions, and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.

• Familiarity with an ERP system; experience with NetSuite is preferred.

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets at an advanced level.

• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are required.
