Interactive Web Designer – Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate client design meetings, discovery sessions, and review discussions with club stakeholders

• Clarify client objectives, collect feedback, and showcase design work

• Develop responsive mockups for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, along with interactive prototypes using Figma

• Construct designs utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within a local development environment

• Transform completed code into reusable templates and tokens for the MembersFirst CMS

• Provide guidance to clients and team members on design, usability, and accessibility

• Oversee multiple projects concurrently and monitor progress through project management tools

• Keep internal stakeholders informed about project developments

• Enhance workflows from mockup to launch, incorporating AI-assisted design and coding methods

• Share insights and improvements regarding workflows with the team

• Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, implementation specialists, and client support teams

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web design and front-end development

• A portfolio demonstrating responsive websites that you have designed and developed

• Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, variants, and prototyping

• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Understanding of browser rendering and behavior

• Keen eye for layout, color, typography, and visual hierarchy

• Familiarity with usability, UX, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA)

• Confidence in leading client meetings and articulating design choices in straightforward language

• Excellent time management skills across multiple projects

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing

• Must have legal eligibility to work in Canada

• Experience with a CMS templating or tokenization system (preferred)

• Familiarity with Git and a modern local development setup (preferred)

• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (preferred)

• Background in agency or client-services work (preferred)

• Understanding of the private club, hospitality, or membership industry (preferred)
