Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather intelligence to pinpoint threats and generate risk assessments tailored to client requirements.

• Investigate current and emerging threats related to physical security, cybersecurity, geopolitical matters, reputation risk, and regulatory compliance.

• Master and utilize ZeroFox's patented technology to identify and analyze online information based on client-specific parameters.

• Compile pertinent findings for daily intelligence reports and ongoing documentation.

• Assist in customer service and all production-related responsibilities assigned.

• Facilitate or oversee recurring deliverables and interactions, including ad hoc, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks.

• Generate security alerts, intelligence reports, trend analysis, summary reports, strategic evaluations, and client briefings.

• Enhance collection capabilities through continuous collaboration with Collection Management and provide 24/7 support.

• Offer assistance during ad hoc threat situations and times of elevated risk.

• Conduct investigations and assessments on an as-needed basis.

• Carry out additional threat monitoring outside of standard business hours as required.

• Engage in professional growth through company-sponsored training, industry certifications, and relevant educational opportunities.

• Recognize and communicate opportunities for operational improvements and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in open-source and social media research or investigations.

• Ability to connect disparate pieces of information.

• Innovative in utilizing internet search techniques and strategies.

• Skill in evaluating the credibility, value, significance, and relevance of information from various data sources.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Comfortable delivering briefings and presentations.

• Experience in producing both short- and long-form reports, employing BLUF or similar formats.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in teams.

• Familiarity with social media platforms, blogs, IRC, deep/dark web, and online message boards.

• Competence in collecting, authenticating, validating, and documenting online evidence.

• Proficiency in at least one online investigative tool, such as Whois, Ping, or Traceroute.

• Proficient in Google Suite applications.

• Bachelor’s degree with relevant coursework.

• Preferred but not mandatory: proficiency in written and spoken Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Korean, Spanish, German, or Farsi.

• Preferred: experience in the public or private sector as an analyst, researcher, investigator, or consultant in support of security, risk, or due diligence functions.

• Preferred: experience in conducting studies and making recommendations to identify threat vectors, actors, and trends.

• Preferred: experience briefing decision-makers and senior leadership.

• Preferred: extensive knowledge of social media platforms, blogs, IRC, message boards, and the deep/dark web.

• Preferred: understanding of IPv4, IPv6, DNS records, email headers, and P2P technologies.

• Preferred: strong project and team leadership, development, and client relationship management skills.

• Preferred: familiarity with relevant threat landscapes or industry areas, such as cybercrime, online fraud, physical/corporate security, activism, hacktivism, reputation risk, travel security, geopolitical issues, or policy matters.
