πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Prepare both provisional and non-provisional utility patent applications internally.

β€’ Collaborate closely with inventors and team members to assess invention disclosures.

β€’ Manage the prosecution of patent applications in-house, under the guidance of IP portfolio managers in the United States and specific foreign jurisdictions.

β€’ Provide clear instructions to external counsel and foreign associates.

β€’ Conduct interviews with patent examiners.

β€’ Draft and review responses to office actions.

β€’ Prepare and review appeal briefs and manage other aspects of patent prosecution.

β€’ Aid in formulating patent strategies that emphasize competitively distinct product features.

β€’ Partner with IP portfolio managers and product owners to synchronize business stakeholders with patent strategies.

β€’ Offer intellectual property support to engineering and product teams.

β€’ Carry out invention mining, patent training, and patent audits.

β€’ Recognize existing and prospective patent coverage and identify patent whitespace for further IP development.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a patent agent, including drafting patent applications, responding to office actions, and conducting examiner interviews.

β€’ Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related industry experience.

β€’ Extensive knowledge of media content distribution, encompassing broadcast networks, cloud networking, wireless networks, end-user devices utilized for accessing and playing media content, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science methodologies, and identity resolution.

β€’ Must be registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

β€’ Previous experience in in-house patent preparation and prosecution is highly regarded.

β€’ Familiarity with AI drafting tools is a plus.
