Integrations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop plugins and exporters for Substance, Maya, Blender, Houdini, Unity, and Unreal.

• Create integrations for asset management systems, content management systems, and web/SaaS platforms.

• Manage integrations from start to finish, which includes scoping, development, packaging, release, documentation, and ongoing support.

• Enhance the shared integration framework.

• Ensure asset fidelity across various pipelines, including USD, material attributes, texture standards, scene scaling, and color spaces.

• Resolve rendering discrepancies across target platforms.

• Collaborate with partner platforms, SDKs, and APIs to address integration limitations.

• Produce documentation and sample code for external developers and artists.

• Collaborate with asset pipeline, streaming, and cloud engineering teams.

• Work directly with DCC and platform vendors on joint integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in shipping production software.

• Proficiency in Python along with C++, C#, or TypeScript at a production level.

• Strong understanding of graphics, including PBR materials and color spaces.

• Hands-on experience with OpenUSD, glTF, FBX, or Alembic.

• Ability to articulate why the same asset may appear differently in two renderers.

• Demonstrated capacity to debug intricate asset pipelines across third-party systems.

• Experience with DCC tool integrations (Substance, Maya, Blender, Unreal) and/or platform integrations (SaaS APIs, OAuth, webhooks).

• Knowledge of OpenUSD composition/schemas, AOUSD involvement, OpenPBR, or MaterialX is advantageous.

• Familiarity with web/XR graphics runtimes such as Three.js, WebGL, WebGPU, visionOS, or Quest is a plus.

• Exposure to color management, tonemapping, open-source contributions, or joint vendor integrations is beneficial.

• Experience in customer-facing roles during technical integrations, or background in e-commerce, media and entertainment, or AEC is an asset.
