Integrations Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collect and record integration requirements in collaboration with client business and IT teams.

• Design, set up, and evaluate inbound and outbound integrations using APIs, flat files, EDI, SFTP, and web services.

• Execute mappings, transformations, and data loads utilizing APIs or alternative methods.

• Configure, secure, and troubleshoot OAuth 2.0, API keys, SSO, and SFTP key-based authentication.

• Assist clients with testing and resolve integration failures, data quality challenges, and performance issues.

• Draft technical specifications, mapping documents, test plans, go-live documentation, and support documentation.

• Collaborate with implementation, product, development, and client success teams.

• Provide guidance to clients on integration best practices, security measures, and data governance.

• Ensure client work remains within the scope, timeline, and budget outlined in the SOW.

• Recognize and escalate instances of scope creep or out-of-scope work to the Project Manager.

• Contribute reusable templates and tools to the internal knowledge base.

• When applicable, configure the Origami platform.

• Monitor production interfaces and address issues to fulfill client SLA commitments.

• Adhere to Origami's standard configurations, established best practices, and industry standards.

• Conduct unit testing on assigned deliverables.

• Organize and lead internal and external working sessions.

• Educate project team members and mentor less experienced colleagues.

• Support training and onboarding for new colleagues.

• Log hours worked in accordance with Origami’s time entry policy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in integrations, data engineering, implementation, or technical consulting.

• Practical experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and CSV/flat-file formats.

• Proficient knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API keys, SSO/SAML, SFTP key-based and certificate-based authentication, and TLS encryption.

• Strong SQL proficiency and understanding of relational data models.

• Experience with data mapping and transformation, including scripting in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar languages.

• Familiarity with SFTP, file-based transfers, and scheduled batch processes.

• Capability to convert business requirements into technical specifications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in client-facing situations.

• Ability to clearly document specifications, mappings, and runbooks.

• Proactive in taking ownership of delivery and identifying scope and timeline risks early.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, remaining effective amidst changing requirements.

• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.

• Familiarity with SaaS platforms in risk management, insurance, claims, benefits, underwriting, rating, or billing is preferred.

• Knowledge of ACORD, EDI, IAIABC, workers’ compensation, or P&C claims data is preferred.

• Experience with iPaaS/middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Prismatic, Boomi, or Workato is preferred.

• Project management or consulting experience is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
