This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assess medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to establish patient eligibility, qualification status, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Interact with patients concerning their financial obligations, collect payments when necessary, and accurately document all interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation fails to meet payer requirements, providing updates and alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to secure complete and compliant documentation.
• Implement payer requirements to ensure services are rendered appropriately and in compliance.
• Keep precise and timely records of patient interactions and communications using electronic systems.
• Process referrals within set timeframes while achieving productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure the selection and scheduling of appropriate inventory and services.
• Work together with sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems to gather and manage documentation.
• Choose suitable shipping and delivery methods in line with company protocols.
• Handle incoming calls to assist patients and referral sources.
• Participate in on-call rotations during non-business hours.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while performing other related tasks as assigned.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
• High School Diploma, Associate’s degree in a related field, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is necessary.
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience within a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and navigate multiple systems effectively.
• Capability to work independently while adhering to established procedures and directives.
• A company-conducted background check is required for all positions.
• A company-conducted Motor Vehicle Record Check is required for all driving positions.
