This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Deliver comprehensive insurance and risk management support across the enterprise as a member of the Law Department.
• Aid in the administration of insurance programs and the upkeep of risk management procedures.
• Collaborate with insurance brokers, carriers, and external vendors.
• Draft, evaluate, and modify Hold Harmless Agreements.
• Compile necessary insurance documentation to facilitate blood drives.
• Assess contract insurance requirements alongside NYBC attorneys.
• Complete and file insurance applications.
• Ensure the timely renewal of insurance policies.
• Assist with insurance audits and respond to auditor queries.
• Relay updates, changes, and requirements related to insurance.
• Oversee the processing of claim payments.
• Manage the organization’s insurance SharePoint site and associated documents.
• Submit insurance notifications and aid in claim management alongside adjusters, Legal, and business units.
• Monitor deadlines for deliverables and liaise with business partners and internal clients.
• Develop, analyze, interpret, and present insurance analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Contribute to enterprise-wide risk management processes, practices, and policies.
• Support risk assessment tools, workflows, and documentation.
• Identify areas for process enhancements in insurance workflows, claims handling, and risk reporting.
• Generate reports and summaries related to insurance.
• Engage in meetings and committees.
• Propose improvements to business unit processes and practices.
• Participate in special projects and undertake related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a similar field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coordination, claims management, risk management, or related positions.
• Proven experience in supporting insurance policy administration, including applications, renewals, audits, and document management.
• Proficient in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data; experience in creating dashboards, reports, or KPIs is preferred.
• Familiarity with developing or assisting in organizational policies, procedures, or risk mitigation strategies.
• Experience in supporting risk management initiatives, including identifying exposures, documenting risks, or assisting with mitigation strategies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with document management and insurance database software.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with diverse individuals and groups in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage accurate paper and electronic records.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing tasks.
• Skilled in identifying complex problems, evaluating options, and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability to establish relationships with stakeholders and organizations.
