Insurance Reviewer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Execute assigned responsibilities to ensure payment collection from third-party payors.

• Report identified trends and concerns to management.

• Manage telephone calls and messages related to the assigned insurance sector.

• Update registration screens as necessary.

• Review and process insurance vouchers, rebill outstanding charges, and handle adjustments.

• Process secondary billing.

• Distribute insurance correspondence and respond to audits, inquiries, and information requests.

• Correct invoices and conduct insurance reviews.

• Analyze and manage front-end and back-end system edits.

• Examine and process claims that have been denied through the clearinghouse.

• Investigate and manage claims within insurance work files and reports.

• Report incidents to the immediate Supervisor or Manager.

• Assist with special projects and assignments as needed.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to Springfield Clinic policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Prior experience in a medical billing environment is essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.

• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding is favored.

• Proficient computer, typing, and calculator skills are required.

• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

• Must maintain confidentiality.

• Attendance at in-services and training pertinent to the position is required.

• Adherence to OSHA and Springfield Clinic training standards is necessary.

• HIPAA level privacy compliance is essential.
