Insurance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee insurance billing and follow-up activities for projects contracted by clients.

• Provide direction and support to foster quality, efficiency, and professional development.

• Implement client-centric strategies to enhance partnerships and promote continuous improvement.

• Maintain existing client relationships while spearheading the acquisition of new clients.

• Supervise and guide staff in training and educational initiatives.

• Ensure that teams are well-versed in internal, governmental, and client-specific processes.

• Direct the creation of processes and procedures to effectively manage operations and meet client expectations.

• Handle human resources responsibilities including performance evaluations, conduct standards, recruitment, and termination.

• Address issues related to performance, work quality, and other concerns in a timely and effective manner.

• Initiate projects aimed at team development and opportunities for enhancing team performance.

• Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and implement necessary improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) in a leadership capacity.

• Proven experience managing a team of over 50 employees.

• Practical experience with Insurance Follow-Up, Denials Management, Prior Authorization, Eligibility Verification, Benefits Verification, and accounts receivable (AR) Follow-Up related to Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, PPO, and Commercial Payors.

• Familiarity with Hospital Billing (HB) and Physician Billing / Professional Billing (PB).

• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, PPO, and Commercial Insurance practices.

• Proficient in using Epic software.

• Expertise in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, potentially including MEDITECH Expanse or HealthQuest.

• Preferred: Experience with Waystar or Experian Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) platforms.

• Preferred: Experience with Rural & Critical Access Hospitals (CAH).
