Insurance Defense Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Aids attorneys in responding to interrogatories and drafting motions, complaints, briefs, and various legal documents.

• Conducts client interviews and transcribes their responses into written form.

• Collaborates with attorneys to review work and finalizes responses.

• Gathers, evaluates, and summarizes medical records under the direction of trial attorneys.

• Supports lawyers in preparing motions and conducting legal research.

• Interviews witnesses in preparation for and during trials.

• Organizes documents and evidence for trial presentation.

• Performs other assigned duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Either a 2-year Associate's Degree or 3 years of experience as a Paralegal is required.

• A Paralegal certificate, degree in paralegal studies, or at least one year of law school completion is essential.

• Preferred: A Bachelor's degree.

• Paralegal certificate from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited program is preferred.

• At least one year of experience in a civil litigation law firm is preferred.
