
Insurance Defense Attorney – California Workers' Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manages litigation for low complexity and exposure cases, overseeing all necessary tasks from intake to trial and/or settlement.
• Drafts pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and briefs.
• Participates in hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations, and/or trials.
• Actively updates leadership on opportunities and challenges in case management.
• Collaborates with the Claims Department regarding the legal elements of files.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities to promote effective case management.
• May serve as second chair during trials and manage trials involving minimal complexity and/or exposure.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice Law in the relevant states upon hire.
• Experience in civil litigation and/or personal/bodily injury is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and listening abilities are essential.
• Excellent written communication skills are required.
• Effective negotiation skills are necessary.
• Capability to represent the company with external stakeholders is important.
• Exhibits sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Proven time management and priority-setting skills are a must.
• Possesses a strong technical aptitude.
