• Become a vital member of our collaborative sales team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and providing scientific solutions that contribute to a healthier, cleaner, and safer world.
• As a Senior Instruments Sales Representative, you will leverage your technical expertise and consultative sales approach to promote our extensive range of analytical instruments and consumables.
• In this field-based position, you will cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with critical decision-makers, from lab managers to executives, while collaborating across our organization to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with at least 8 years of experience in capital equipment sales within the life sciences or analytical instruments sectors being strongly preferred.
• Preferred areas of study include Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Clinical laboratory certifications (MT, CLT, MLT) are advantageous for specific positions.
• Technical understanding of molecular biology techniques, especially PCR, sequencing, and associated workflows is necessary.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and managing intricate sales cycles.
• Strong business acumen with the capability to develop and implement strategic territory plans.
• Excellent presentation and consultative selling abilities at all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in CRM systems (notably Salesforce) and in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Capable of project management with keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel 50-80% within the designated territory.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills may be required for specific roles.
• Experience in selling to government, academic, clinical, or industrial clients is preferred.
• Ability to mentor team members and coordinate cross-functional resources.
