Instructional Designer – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify gaps in performance, knowledge, and skills, and create instructional and performance support solutions.

• Utilize adult learning theories along with ADDIE or successive approximation methodologies to perform needs, task, and audience analyses.

• Design competency-based, technology-enhanced curricula for both instructor-led and e-learning formats.

• Develop training that adheres to industry standards and federal accessibility guidelines.

• Update and enhance existing e-learning courses to meet current standards.

• Streamline and consolidate courses to fit within a defined seat-time limitation.

• Reconstruct courses from published materials in cases where editable source files are unavailable.

• Collaborate with the Corrections Subject Matter Expert to research content, address issues, and ensure technical precision.

• Manage the stage-gate record throughout the phases of analysis, design, development, validation, and publication.

• Achieve written exit criteria at each development stage.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, communications, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of five years of experience in designing and developing instructor-led and e-learning training for adult learners.

• Proficient in ELB Gold Suite Studio (Lectora) and Articulate 360 Suite at a production level.

• Proven experience in e-learning development and packaging, including SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 compliance.

• Familiarity with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.

• Capability to construct to a conformance checklist rather than making adjustments post-development.

• Must be available during core hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern, Monday through Friday.

• This position is contingent upon contract award and any necessary background or suitability assessments.
