This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Foster a campus environment that champions digital teaching and learning.
• Assist UNLV Online personnel in engaging faculty for the development and revision of online and hybrid courses.
• Supervise instructional artists, multimedia designers, computer programmers, videographers, editors, and students.
• Develop and incorporate learning objects into online courses.
• Coordinate graphics and video production efforts.
• Provide project management, managerial skills, and delegation to team members.
• Support the multimedia team and faculty throughout the course design and development phases.
• Assess UNLV Online courses to ensure alignment with multimedia learning principles.
• Identify and curate resources for skill enhancement and knowledge development for the multimedia team.
• Introduce research-based insights into technology-enhanced learning.
• Collaborate with instructional design staff.
• Assist with UNLV Online issues, programs, or projects as directed by the Director.
• Recruit, train, manage, and mentor a diverse creative and technical team.
• Plan and monitor project timelines, tasks, and milestones throughout production stages.
• Conduct meetings with faculty, program directors, and subject matter experts.
• Convert course content into suitable multimedia formats.
• Direct video shoots while ensuring high production standards.
• Oversee the editing and quality assurance of final media deliverables.
• Maintain organized video archives and media libraries.
• A Master’s degree in Instructional Media Design, Digital Arts, Educational Technology, or a related field, or a comparable profession from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and/or CHEA.
• Credentials must be obtained before the employment start date.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• 3 years of experience in conceptualizing and translating textual content into visual elements.
• Proven experience in managing budgets and overseeing multiple creative professionals across diverse projects.
• Strong understanding of team management and supervision, including hiring, training, and mentoring.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, scopes of work, workflows, milestones, and timelines.
• Knowledge of media production processes, including pre-production, production, and post-production stages.
• Understanding of instructional design principles and multimedia support for online courses and programs.
• Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation for staff and equipment in media projects.
• Familiarity with video production technologies, including lighting, audio, set design, and camera operation.
• Understanding of post-production processes, including editing, animation, infographics, and branding.
• Awareness of institutional branding and style standards for multimedia content.
• Capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and promote professional development.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects within deadlines.
• Skill in strategically planning workflows to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Ability to collaborate across departments while balancing academic and technical needs.
• Ability to swiftly adapt to evolving technologies and trends in media and education.
