Inside Auto Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations on basic and, at times, moderately complex auto insurance claims.

• Manage claims that are not represented by legal counsel.

• Assess coverage, determine liability, and evaluate damages.

• Negotiate and resolve claims in accordance with established guidelines and best practices.

• Interact directly with claimants, insured individuals, and other relevant parties.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies throughout the claims process.

• Investigate minor to moderately complex auto accidents and compile claim summaries.

• Conduct recorded interviews with claimants, insured parties, and witnesses.

• Maintain comprehensive claim files, detailed notes, summaries, and decision-making rationales.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient and customer-focused claims handling.

• Complete training sessions from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM; work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional rotational Saturdays.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be residents of NY, NC, SC, PA, NJ, or DE at the time of hiring.

• A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in claims handling is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven dedication to providing outstanding customer service.

• Capability to juggle multiple tasks and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Critical thinking and decision-making competencies.

• Comfortable utilizing technology and learning claims-related software and tools.

• Required to obtain all necessary adjuster licenses within 60 days of employment.

• Must maintain all licenses required for the position, including completing continuing education and fulfilling state-specific renewal needs.

• A dedicated workspace that is free from distractions.

• Minimum internet speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload are required.

• An appropriate work surface and seating arrangement is necessary.

• Subject to a background check.
