Inside Auto Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into basic and occasionally moderately complex auto insurance claims.

• Manage claims that are not represented by an attorney.

• Assess coverage, establish liability, and negotiate settlements.

• Interact directly with claimants, insured individuals, and other relevant parties.

• Ensure claims are resolved in a timely, accurate, and customer-oriented manner.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies throughout the claims process.

• Investigate minor to moderately complex auto accidents and compile clear, concise summaries of claims.

• Conduct recorded interviews with claimants, insured parties, and witnesses.

• Evaluate auto claims to ascertain coverage, liability, and damages.

• Negotiate and settle claims following established protocols and best practices.

• Keep comprehensive claim files that include notes, summaries, and the rationale behind decisions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate effective, customer-focused claims management.

• Work Monday through Friday during operating hours of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional Saturday rotations; training is conducted Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in MD, OH, KS, WV, VA, IN, MN, NE, IL, WI, IA, ND, SD, MI, OK, KY, or MO at the time of hiring.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in claim handling is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven dedication to outstanding customer service.

• Capability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Strong attention to detail, along with critical thinking and decision-making skills.

• Proficient with technology and willing to learn claims-related software and tools.

• A dedicated workspace that is free from distractions.

• Minimum internet speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

• An appropriate work surface and seating arrangement.

• Required to obtain all necessary adjuster licenses within 60 days of hire, if applicable.

• Must maintain the required licenses, continuing education, and state-specific renewal obligations.

• Background investigation is mandatory.

• Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this role.
