This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +15 more states.
β’ Conduct investigations into basic and occasionally moderately complex auto insurance claims.
β’ Manage claims that are not represented by an attorney.
β’ Assess coverage, establish liability, and negotiate settlements.
β’ Interact directly with claimants, insured individuals, and other relevant parties.
β’ Ensure claims are resolved in a timely, accurate, and customer-oriented manner.
β’ Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies throughout the claims process.
β’ Investigate minor to moderately complex auto accidents and compile clear, concise summaries of claims.
β’ Conduct recorded interviews with claimants, insured parties, and witnesses.
β’ Evaluate auto claims to ascertain coverage, liability, and damages.
β’ Negotiate and settle claims following established protocols and best practices.
β’ Keep comprehensive claim files that include notes, summaries, and the rationale behind decisions.
β’ Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate effective, customer-focused claims management.
β’ Work Monday through Friday during operating hours of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional Saturday rotations; training is conducted Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM.
β’ Candidates must reside in MD, OH, KS, WV, VA, IN, MN, NE, IL, WI, IA, ND, SD, MI, OK, KY, or MO at the time of hiring.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of experience in claim handling is preferred.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Proven dedication to outstanding customer service.
β’ Capability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
β’ Strong attention to detail, along with critical thinking and decision-making skills.
β’ Proficient with technology and willing to learn claims-related software and tools.
β’ A dedicated workspace that is free from distractions.
β’ Minimum internet speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
β’ An appropriate work surface and seating arrangement.
β’ Required to obtain all necessary adjuster licenses within 60 days of hire, if applicable.
β’ Must maintain the required licenses, continuing education, and state-specific renewal obligations.
β’ Background investigation is mandatory.
β’ Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this role.
β’ A sign-on bonus of $1,000 for candidates with an active adjuster license in TX, FL, or their resident state.
