This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Conduct scheduled quality assurance evaluations for both internal teams and external client organizations.

β€’ Perform onboarding audits and provide training for newly recruited inpatient coders.

β€’ Facilitate training sessions and offer educational feedback to coders, including those located at client sites.

β€’ Ensure accurate data abstraction into client electronic medical record systems.

β€’ Validate Present on Admission indicators and identify any missing or inappropriate provider queries.

β€’ Communicate quality issues and audit results to management and client representatives.

β€’ Assist in the creation, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement action plans.

β€’ Maintain reports and track accuracy rates for coders and clients.

β€’ Address client quality assurance needs and respond to inquiries.

β€’ Provide educational sessions on error trends to coders and client teams.

β€’ Inform management of compliance concerns or incidents.

β€’ Handle patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

β€’ Participate in educational conference calls and client meetings as needed.

β€’ Uphold required productivity and quality standards.

β€’ Carry out additional project duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Valid AHIMA coding credential is required.

β€’ A minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting is necessary.

β€’ At least 3 years of auditing experience is required.

β€’ Recommended minimum of 5 years of coding experience.

β€’ Recommended minimum of 3 years of experience in a Trauma Level 1 and Academic Teaching facility.

β€’ Proficiency in ICD-10-PCS coding is essential.

β€’ Experience with IRF-PAI, IGC, and CMG auditing.

β€’ Familiarity with Official ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Guidelines, UHDDS guidelines, and CMS directives.

β€’ Understanding of AHA POA guidelines.

β€’ Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations.

β€’ Ability to meet coding credential maintenance requirements.

β€’ Legally authorized to work in the United States.

β€’ Visa sponsorship is not available.

β€’ Strong skills in collaboration, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, presentation, time management, and organization.

β€’ Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
