Innovation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, deploy, and oversee secure and scalable generative AI solutions utilizing both SaaS and local resources.

• Provide guidance to internal technical users regarding best practices and support for SaaS AI services and bespoke applications.

• Design and assist in creating secure data connectors and ingestion pipelines to facilitate enterprise AI access to internal data sources.

• Work alongside Information Security and IT teams to define requirements, implement IAM, network, encryption, logging, and monitoring controls, conduct security assessments, and ensure compliance.

• Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms and develop operational procedures for the AI services deployed.

• Enhance AI solutions for optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, IT operations, and information security.

• Stay updated on advancements in SaaS AI/ML services, generative AI, and cloud security.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and security protocols.

• Contribute to the strategic roadmap for the organization’s AI/ML initiatives.

• Develop and deliver educational materials focused on effective and secure AI usage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud engineering and/or solutions architecture with a strong emphasis on AWS.

• Extensive hands-on experience in implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise AI solutions utilizing AWS services.

• Profound understanding and practical knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.

• Experience in designing and deploying secure cloud-based AI solutions on AWS.

• Familiarity with AWS security services, including Guardrails, KMS, and Secrets Manager.

• Enterprise-level experience with AWS AI services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Transcribe, Rekognition, and Q Business.

• Proven collaboration experience with IT Operations and Information Security teams on cloud deployments and security evaluations.

• Proficient in at least one relevant programming language, preferably Python.

• Understanding of generative AI concepts, LLMs, prompt engineering, and foundational AI/ML principles.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and complex technical troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in applying security principles to AI implementations, including data protection, access controls, and threat modeling.

• Awareness of AI security challenges such as prompt injection, data poisoning, and model extraction attacks.

• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

• Capable of performing sedentary work and substantial wrist, hand, and/or finger movements for at least 8 hours daily.

• Close visual acuity for computer terminal use and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours daily.

• Preferred qualifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified AI Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer.

• Preferred skills include model fine-tuning, IaC tools, MLOps, enterprise application/data warehouse integration, agentic AI architectures, and MCP client/server architecture.
