Staff Threat and Attack Research Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate complex cyber threats aimed at Anduril's products, infrastructure, and personnel.

• Investigate, alleviate, and foresee new technical trends within the threat landscape.

• Partner with the detection and response team to deliver timely, actionable intelligence that supports investigations.

• Collaborate across teams with the offensive security group during product and infrastructure red team exercises.

• Improve tools for tracking threat actors and integrating intelligence data.

• Promote proactive cooperation and information sharing with external partners to develop joint capabilities and reach common goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in analyzing intricate threat actor campaigns, including supply chain and infrastructure, with the capability to devise long-term countermeasures.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Rust, Golang, or Swift.

• Ability to prioritize and carry out tasks independently with minimal oversight.

• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

• Preferred: Comprehensive knowledge of nation-state, sophisticated criminal, or supply chain threats.

• Preferred: Experience in creating file-based or network-based rules and signatures, such as YARA or Snort.

• Preferred: Proven history of writing production code for threat intelligence tools.

• Preferred: Expertise in large-scale data analysis.

• Preferred: Established relationships within the wider security and threat intelligence community.

• Preferred: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Preferred: Proven ability to function effectively in team settings.

• Preferred: Experience with Vertex Synapse.
