Infrastructure & Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Implement and maintain Azure and on-premise infrastructure, incorporating hybrid and multi-cloud integrations.

• Spearhead cloud migration initiatives in accordance with established designs and change management protocols.

• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated and reliable deployments.

• Provide secure and scalable network infrastructure across both cloud and on-premise environments.

• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services effectively.

• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure, network, and service-related issues within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

• Take ownership of patch management, hardening, secure configuration, and vulnerability remediation.

• Investigate security alerts and assist with incident response, recovery, and root cause analysis.

• Mentor team members and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an Infrastructure/Network Engineer in enterprise settings.

• Proficient in Azure, including compute, networking (VNet, NSGs, Load Balancer, ExpressRoute, Gateways), and hybrid/on-premise solutions.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps / CI/CD, Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

• Strong foundation in networking principles (LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP).

• Knowledge of Active Directory, M365 (Intune), Azure AD, and ITIL-aligned service management practices.

• Experience in incident response, adherence to SLAs, patch management, hardening, and vulnerability management.

• Background in VMWare/Hyper-V technologies.

• Understanding of ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, and CIS standards.

• Excellent English communication skills with a collaborative and mentoring approach.

• Familiarity with Fortinet products (FortiGate SD-WAN, Firewalls, FortiManager) is a plus.

• Experience with Azure Well-Architected Framework and migrating from on-premise to Azure is desirable.

• Previous experience in supporting ISO 27001 certified environments is a plus.

• Preferred certifications (not mandatory): Azure Administrator, Microsoft Admin-level certifications, ITIL Foundation+, Fortinet NSE.
