This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +5 more states.
• Take full ownership of data centre development in Europe, managing the process from market entry strategy and early-stage opportunities through to Ready-to-Build and energisation.
• Analyze and prioritize European markets based on factors such as power availability and pricing, grid connection timelines, land availability, fibre connectivity, climate conditions, permitting frameworks, and incentives.
• Evaluate sites considering technical, planning, power, and infrastructure aspects.
• Formulate grid connection and power strategies in collaboration with European TSOs, DSOs, and national utility providers across the targeted markets.
• Organize and facilitate development financing, which includes capital planning, project financing, and working alongside investors and lenders.
• Oversee planning, permitting, environmental assessments, and stakeholder engagement processes in each jurisdiction.
• Identify and address technical, commercial, and development risks.
• Ensure that projects are feasible, scalable, and comply with construction standards.
• Proven experience in developing data centres or large-scale infrastructure projects in Europe, from initial development through to design, permitting, and readiness for delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of significant European data centre regions, including grid capacity, permitting processes, power markets, and available new capacity.
• Strong grasp of European planning and grid connection procedures, including interactions with TSOs, DSOs, and national regulators.
• Solid technical understanding of data centre infrastructure, covering power, cooling, and utility systems.
• Capacity to assess engineering decisions and critically evaluate technical assumptions.
• Familiarity with development financing for infrastructure projects, including project finance structures and investor requirements.
• Highly analytical and self-motivated, with a readiness to take substantial ownership of projects.
• Willingness to travel throughout Europe.
• Proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
