Infrastructure and Security Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate the Infrastructure and Security team, which currently consists of 4 members.

• Provide structured people management through regular one-on-one meetings, Individual Development Plans (IDPs/PDI), and monitoring individual progress.

• Transition Information Security from a primarily operational role to a strategic function.

• Automate manual infrastructure processes to eliminate operational dependencies and mitigate risk.

• Plan and manage infrastructure architecture on AWS.

• Monitor and optimize cloud expenditures, ensuring financial efficiency while maintaining performance standards.

• Establish and track metrics related to availability, performance, and security.

• Implement observability practices and manage incident response.

• Collaborate with Development and Product teams to ensure the infrastructure is scalable.

• Guide performance management and promote the technical and behavioral development of the team.

• Report directly to the CTO and assist in shaping strategic technology decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.

• Certifications in Cloud (AWS) or Information Security are advantageous.

• Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure and/or information security teams.

• Experience in rapidly growing, high-scale environments.

• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure architecture (AWS).

• Proven history of delivering automation in infrastructure processes.

• Experience in effective people management (1:1s, IDPs/PDI, team development).

• Expertise in AWS infrastructure architecture.

• Knowledge of infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code).

• Familiarity with information security practices and risk management.

• Experience in monitoring, observability, and incident response.

• Skills in cloud cost management (FinOps).

• Application of Agile methodologies in managing technical teams.

• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Security) are a plus.

• Experience in regulated environments or familiarity with compliance requirements is an advantage.
