Senior Director, Information Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage ongoing security operations, ensure incident response readiness, and provide threat intelligence

• Act as the primary Incident Commander during critical situations

• Coordinate incident response efforts with Legal, PR, Engineering, and Executive leadership

• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Legal, Privacy, and IT departments

• Integrate enterprise risk frameworks and security-by-design principles into consumer applications, AI/ML pipelines, and data architectures

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-tiered team of security directors, managers, and engineers

• Promote accountability, succession planning, and operational excellence

• Propel modernization of the security stack utilizing AI/ML, automation, and cloud-native architectures

• Serve as the primary representative for the CISO

• Hold enterprise-level accountability and engage with executive committees, board dynamics, and ownership groups

• Exercise operational authority across Security Engineering, Incident Response, Cloud Security, IAM, and Risk Management

• Convert complex security concepts into measurable business risk metrics that inform enterprise strategy and enhance customer trust

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in information security

• Demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary security functions through subordinate managers and directors

• Extensive experience in developing security strategies within cloud-native environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Background in high-scale, consumer-focused technology organizations managing sensitive or regulated data

• Proven authority in leading enterprise-level critical incidents

• Ability to achieve legal, regulatory, and executive alignment under pressure

• Demonstrated skill in negotiating SLAs, facilitating vulnerability remediation, and aligning risk priorities across engineering teams without direct authority

• Successful history in designing executive-level KRIs and KPIs

• In-depth knowledge of global privacy, security, and compliance frameworks relevant to sensitive consumer and biometric data

• Strategic oversight of AI-driven threat detection, securing machine learning pipelines, and ensuring safe enterprise LLM adoption

• Exceptional discipline in business planning, quarterly strategic reviews, headcount planning, and execution of roadmaps

• Commitment to enterprise automation, architectural scalability, and ongoing process improvement
