Information Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ongoing surveillance of security incidents across SIEM, EDR, XDR, and firewall systems to detect suspicious activities and Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).

• Evaluation, correlation, and categorization of security alerts based on their urgency.

• Assistance in Security Operations Center tasks, working closely with analysts, infrastructure, and development teams.

• Involvement in incident response, root-cause investigation, and adherence to SLAs and operational playbooks.

• Aid in containment, hardening, and ongoing enhancement of servers, networks, and cloud environments.

• Creation of technical documentation, including reports, playbooks, runbooks, and detailed incident records.

• Engagement in technical discussions, priority setting, improvement strategies, and collaboration with compliance teams.

• Management of network security, covering firewalls and antivirus solutions.

• Support for the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or have completed a degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Fundamental understanding of security concepts: confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

• Familiarity with solutions like SIEM, EDR, and NDR.

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems along with security tools such as antivirus applications and IDS/IPS.

• Basic comprehension of vulnerability assessment and risk management.

• Capability to analyze system logs and events.

• Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, and their associated networking tools.

• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols.

• Higher education in technology-related fields and relevant certifications are advantageous.

• Willingness to work remotely from Brazil.
