Information Designer – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate numerical data and written content, extract the main message, prioritize relevant information, and eliminate what is unnecessary.

• Choose suitable charts, diagrams, or visual representations for each data set, ensuring that visuals accurately reflect the numbers.

• Organize the narrative of presentations and reports, suggesting a coherent sequence for the content and managing the layout effectively.

• Create presentations and reports with a high level of expertise in PowerPoint.

• Convert processes, concepts, and intricate information into clear, self-explanatory infographics and visual aids.

• Detect inconsistencies, gaps, or data that do not align with the intended message prior to material production.

• Consistently apply the organization's visual identity across all produced materials.

• Develop materials for social media, campaigns, and events, focusing on clear communication of information.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, or a similar field.

• A portfolio showcasing examples of data visualization, infographics, reports, or presentations created from complex information (this is a mandatory requirement).

• Advanced skills in PowerPoint along with solid experience in Illustrator and InDesign.

• Proficiency in Excel: capable of reading tables, performing basic calculations (percentages, variances, averages), and interpreting numerical data.

• Strong logical reasoning and an excellent ability to synthesize information.

• Understanding of data visualization principles, including chart selection, visual hierarchy, and the intentional use of color.

• Ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Preferred: experience in consulting, data journalism, intelligence/BI, or strategy roles.

• Preferred: familiarity with Power BI, Flourish, Datawrapper, or Figma.

• Preferred: basic skills in video editing and motion design.
