This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the Industrial Sales team to enhance sales revenue for industrial and hazardous waste.
• Offer customer service and support to both internal and external clients.
• Provide consultations for existing and prospective customers regarding transportation and disposal solutions.
• Aid customers in creating transportation and disposal strategies for industrial and hazardous waste.
• Assist customers with testing parameters and the completion of profiles, manifests, and necessary forms.
• Process profiles, contracts, and credit inquiries; schedule pick-ups; and resolve billing questions and customer concerns.
• Develop economically viable and practical solutions for customers using competitive pricing tools.
• Create tailored proposals and draft correspondence.
• Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external customers.
• Contribute to revenue goals for the Manufacturing and Industrial sales teams within the assigned territory.
• Manage current accounts and promote customer retention, including profile renewals, regulatory updates, and new service offerings.
• Identify new waste stream opportunities through established customer relationships.
• Generate new leads through written communication, promotional materials, email, and phone outreach.
• Provide leads to account managers and program managers utilizing WM sales management tools.
• Engage with inbound customer calls to ascertain the best approach for closing sales.
• Support account managers with receivables and collections challenges.
• Handle incoming customer calls and referrals from account managers.
• Delegate data entry, manifest preparation, filing, and other routine administrative duties to Industrial Sales Coordinators.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Must reside and work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
• One (1) year of relevant work experience related to special waste, alongside the educational requirement.
• Relevant regulatory training.
• Familiarity with hazardous waste regulations, DOT requirements, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Capability to read and interpret safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
• Competence in speaking effectively before groups of customers and/or employees.
• Proficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations, including discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, apply common sense, follow written, oral, or diagram instructions, and solve practical problems.
• French-speaking skills are preferred.
