This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Support the development, training, and implementation of chemical exposure assessment programs.

• Perform both qualitative and quantitative assessments of exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards.

• Oversee the management of risks linked to specialty chemicals and electronic manufacturing hazards, including adhesives, solvents, conformal coatings, lasers, x-rays, hydrofluoric acid, and other hazardous substances.

• Aid in the design and execution of industrial hygiene programs, encompassing air monitoring, noise monitoring, and chemical exposure assessments.

• Conduct personal and area air sampling using pumps, badges, and direct-reading instruments.

• Assess engineering controls such as LEV systems, fume hoods, cleanroom laminar flow systems, isolators, and glove boxes.

• Execute workplace hazard assessments and suggest engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.

• Deliver employee training on occupational health and chemical safety protocols.

• Analyze and apply OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other relevant regulations.

• Compile technical reports, maintain monitoring records, and present findings to management.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Facilities, Operations, and Maintenance teams to enforce exposure controls.

• Assist Regional EHS teams and sites with implementation and technical support.

• Engage in the global assessment program as an auditor or subject matter expert upon request.

• Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial hygiene within manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, electronics, or related fields.

• Proficiency in exposure monitoring, risk assessments, ventilation evaluations, and chemical safety programs.

• In-depth understanding of occupational health regulations and exposure limits.

• Experience in assessing chemical, physical, and biological hazards.

• Progressing toward or currently pursuing CIH certification is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
