Independent Contractor – Large-Format Printer Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Confirm that installation locations satisfy spatial, network, and electrical specifications

• Unpack, assemble, and position large-format printers from Mimaki and Mutoh

• Connect devices to local network connections

• Configure the required static IP addresses

• Install standard drivers or RIP software on specified workstations

• Conduct color calibrations, print head alignments, and diagnostic test prints

• Educate end-users on maintenance, software, machine operation, and media loading

• Dispose of packaging materials, pallets, and crates from the installation site

• Issue invoices following the completion of installation and receipt of signed end-user acceptance

⛳️ Requirements

• Independent contractor / 1099 status required

• Proven experience with Mimaki and Mutoh large-format printers

• Provide all necessary protective equipment, hand tools, and diagnostic tools

• Maintain sufficient commercial general liability insurance

• Hold workers' compensation insurance if employing additional personnel

• Keep customer lists, network passwords, facility security codes, and other sensitive information strictly confidential

• Deliver services professionally, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards

• Accept liability for any damage to property, facilities, or equipment caused by willful misconduct or negligence

• Responsible for relevant taxes and personal expenses

• Flat project fee option of $1,800

• $750 Return Trip Fee if the site is not adequately prepared

• $500 Late Rescheduling Fee if the client changes the schedule with less than 7 days' notice before installation
