Incident Response Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support the leadership and coordination of incident response initiatives for clients, ensuring the swift identification, containment, and mitigation of security incidents.

• Maintain consistent and clear communication with clients throughout incident response activities, acting as a reliable advisor.

• Create comprehensive incident reports that include findings, recommendations, and remediation strategies tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Stay informed on the latest threat intelligence and trends to deliver timely advice and recommendations to clients.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including security analysts and engineers, to improve incident response processes and capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in incident response, digital forensics, or a related discipline.

• Relevant industry certifications like GCFE, GCFA, GCIH, or CISSP are greatly preferred.

• Proficiency in incident response tools and techniques, alongside digital forensic methodologies.

• Strong understanding of operating systems, networks, and cybersecurity principles.

• Familiarity with enterprise cloud environments (AWS, G-Suite, O365, Azure, etc.).

• Experience with network infrastructure, communication protocols, and network log analysis.

• Understanding of computer exploitation techniques.

• Proven experience with endpoint detection and response tools such as Sentinel One, CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Cisco AMP, or similar.

• Familiarity with forensic tools like Axiom, FTK, Volatility, X-Ways, or equivalent.

• Experience in SIEM, EDR, IDS, and DLP technologies, as well as memory and volatile data analysis.

• Knowledge of command line tools (grep, Python, PowerShell, etc.).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
