In-Field Mentor Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Report to a managerial level within the Training Department

• Conduct training and ongoing evaluation and development for teachers and missionaries

• Offer individual coaching and continuous in-service training for mentors through weekly meetings

• Supply mentors with necessary materials and policy information

• Observe and assess the performance of missionaries and mentors

• Create opportunities for mentor enhancement based on identified needs

• Support the Area Manager in onboarding new mentors

• Ensure that mentors comprehend and effectively deliver the approved In-field Preach My Gospel training curriculum

• Take the lead in implementing updates or new In-field Preach My Gospel training curriculum

• Step in as a mentor when required

• Advocate for the well-being of missionaries and ensure their overall welfare

• Guide mentors in addressing individual missionary needs and fostering an optimal learning environment

• Manage daily supervisory tasks and consult with the Area Manager regarding any disciplinary concerns

• Provide timely recommendations for mentor merit increases

• Report on mentor performance to the Area Manager

• Assist in the hiring process by interviewing and evaluating candidates’ teaching and language skills

• Contribute to area training meetings and coordinate training resources

• Recommend the dismissal of teachers when necessary

• Assess the proficiency levels of missionaries and mentor applicants in the target language upon request

• Assume Mentor responsibilities as situations arise

• Carry out other temporarily assigned duties

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months experience as an In-field Mentor

• Must be a returned missionary

• Demonstrates an understanding of In-field Preach My Gospel training strategies and methodologies

• Must possess a strong grasp of In-field Preach My Gospel training principles

• Exhibits problem-solving and organizational skills

• Exceptional training capabilities

• Must be able to communicate effectively

• Demonstrates the ability to perform well under pressure

• Must have the technological skills necessary to operate effectively in a remote environment

• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills are required

• Must have a solid understanding of Preach My Gospel

• Exhibits a positive attitude, proactivity, and self-motivation

• Experience as a missionary is required

• Physical capability to sit for extended periods and use monitors/equipment

• Preferred: 1 year of experience in teaching, training, or tutoring in any capacity
