This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Read, analyze, and comprehend P&IDs, loop diagrams, installation specifications, layout plans, and construction documents.
• Execute assigned duties in accordance with construction project requirements.
• Install control panels, instrumentation, conduits, service equipment, MCCs, and panelboards.
• Set up controls, fiber optics, network cabling, stainless tubing, and instrumentation.
• Wire control panels and instrumentation in the field environment.
• Install, calibrate, and commission various instruments such as pressure, flow, level, temperature, and analytical devices.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, control valves, process controllers, PLC hardware, and control systems.
• Repair, test, and install control panels, PLCs, I/O modules, and communication equipment.
• Uphold safety-oriented practices and adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate in the field with engineers and field technicians.
• Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician license is preferred, though not mandatory.
• A two-year Associate’s degree in Automation & Controls, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline is highly preferred.
• Over 2 years of field experience in industrial electrical power and controls is preferred.
• Capability to work safely and be an active contributor in a safety-oriented team.
• ISA CCST certification is preferred.
• Eagerness to learn and engage in hands-on work in the field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while also functioning well in a team setting.
• Familiarity with field instruments, electronic testing devices, control valves, and control panels.
• Competence in using basic hand and power tools, ladders, and manlifts.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel out-of-town regularly, including overnight trips.
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and drive frequently.
• Capability to pass a fit-for-duty physical examination when necessary.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment and random drug tests periodically.
• Ability to clear a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without the need for employer-sponsored visa.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
