ICT Consultant IV, Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a team of ICT designers and BIM experts to create constructible data center design documents within established timelines.

• Identify and develop solutions for data center client challenges on designated projects.

• Conduct surveys, design, development, and construction administration for data center ICT infrastructure projects.

• Provide design and consulting services for hyper-scale data centers, enterprise data centers, structured cabling systems, campus/WAN, passive optical networks, and outside plant.

• Undertake ICT design and consulting responsibilities as part of a broader data center design team.

• Collect and correlate engineering data following established protocols.

• Execute detailed and routine design and consulting tasks.

• Propose solutions to emerging and intricate problems.

• Offer guidance to internal mid-level consultants and production personnel.

• Carry out work within agreed budgets and timelines with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution along with six (6) years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience and/or education.

• Experience in data center design with a focus on ICT infrastructure.

• Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification.

• U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card) is mandatory.

• Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in Hyper-Scale Data Center design involving ICT infrastructure.

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite, and other ICT-specific software.

• Knowledge of permitting, state and local regulations, IEEE–C2 Standard, OSHA 1910 Standards, TIA cabling and data center standards, BICSI TDMM, and other relevant manuals.

• Additional active BICSI certifications are preferred; BICSI DCDC certification is advantageous.
