Hybrid Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a multi-cloud strategy, target-state architecture, and adoption guidelines across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.

• Create federated identity, SSO, and cross-cloud authorization frameworks.

• Design cross-cloud networking solutions, including transit hubs, private connectivity, and zero-trust architectures.

• Establish reusable infrastructure-as-code templates that abstract cloud-specific implementations when applicable.

• Define strategies for containers, Kubernetes, and serverless applications across different providers.

• Create data architecture strategies for cross-cloud data transfer, residency, and analytics.

• Promote multi-cloud observability, security monitoring, and unified policy enforcement.

• Implement FinOps practices across various cloud providers.

• Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity strategies that span multiple clouds.

• Collaborate with security architects on multi-cloud security frameworks, KMS strategies, and key management practices.

• Advise engineering teams on cloud-agnostic versus cloud-native approaches.

• Produce architectural documentation such as context diagrams, sequence diagrams, decision records, and reference designs.

• Engage with cloud providers and partners to assess roadmap alignment.

• Stay updated on multi-cloud platform and tooling advancements, translating these developments into recommendations and adoption plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• At least eight years of experience in cloud architecture roles.

• Practical architecture experience with a minimum of two major cloud providers.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud networking, identity, and security across multiple providers.

• Significant experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code across cloud environments.

• Experience in designing federated identity and SSO solutions across cloud platforms.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, container platforms, and managed cloud services.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Multiple cloud certifications from various providers.

• Proven history of leading multi-cloud architecture initiatives.

• U.S. work authorization: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and candidates eligible for H-1B transfer.

• No ability to sponsor new H-1B visa petitions.

• Preferred: Experience with abstraction platforms (Crossplane, Pulumi, Terraform CDK).

• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud-agnostic observability solutions.

• Preferred: Experience in managing large-scale cloud-to-cloud migrations.

• Preferred: Exposure to regulated industries with multi-cloud requirements.

• Preferred: Public speaking or writing experience on multi-cloud architecture.
