This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Service rooftop units, split systems, package units, walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, and other commercial HVAC/R equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues related to electrical, mechanical, controls, airflow, and refrigeration systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and spot potential issues before emergency service calls arise.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications effectively.
• Recover, evacuate, charge, and troubleshoot refrigeration systems efficiently.
• Identify faulty components and determine the necessary repairs.
• Communicate with customers regarding equipment conditions, repairs, and recommendations.
• Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Work independently while coordinating with dispatch, management, and the service team.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service as required.
• Previous experience in commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration service.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls.
• Experience with commercial HVAC equipment and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• EPA certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage service calls.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology to receive calls and document completed work.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
• Experience with commercial rooftop units, package and split systems, walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in refrigeration, ice machines, compressors, evaporators and condensers, refrigeration controls, electrical troubleshooting, leak detection and repair, preventative maintenance, and in commercial restaurant, retail, grocery, or foodservice environments.
