This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Travel to various data center locations on a long-term rotational schedule of 4 weeks on duty followed by 1 week off.
• Engage in the startup and commissioning processes of new units.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
• Analyze and interpret regulatory standards and technical documentation, including blueprints and diagrams.
• Foster strong relationships with customers.
• Raise issues for resolution when necessary.
• Comply with licensing regulations and operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Identify HVAC-related hazards, undergo safety training, and implement effective safety protocols.
• Work both independently and collaboratively while leading teams and making job-related decisions.
• Over 5 years of practical experience in the HVAC industry.
• At least 3 years of experience working with Centrifugal Chillers.
• Capability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.
• High School Diploma or GED is necessary.
• Must possess and maintain a valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
• Willingness and ability to travel on a long-term rotational schedule of 4 weeks on duty and 1 week off.
• OSHA 30 Certification is valued, but not mandatory.
• Experience with Carrier, Trane, and Daikin air-cooled and water-cooled centrifugal chillers is valued, but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of building automation controls (BOMAC) is valued, but not mandatory.
• Experience working in data centers is valued, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with steam turbines is valued, but not mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are valued, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of ServiceMax is valued, but not mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of 19XR, 30CF, and CDU chillers; air-side systems; and water-side systems is valued, but not mandatory.
