This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Travel to various data center locations on a long-term rotational schedule of 4 weeks on duty followed by 1 week off.
• Engage in the startup and commissioning processes of new units.
• Conduct diagnostic tests, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and perform scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
• Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements along with technical documents, such as blueprints and diagrams.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Promptly escalate issues for resolution when necessary.
• Comply with licensing requirements and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Identify HVAC-related hazards, complete safety training, and implement effective safety protocols.
• Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Deliver expert service and exceptional quality as a traveling HVAC service technician.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the HVAC industry.
• At least 3 years of experience working with Centrifugal Chillers.
• Capability to push, pull, or lift weights of up to 50 lbs.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb ladders, and work at heights on rooftops.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A valid and current Driver’s License is necessary.
• Must be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
• OSHA 30 Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Carrier, Trane, and Daikin air-cooled and water-cooled centrifugal chillers is desirable but not essential.
• Basic knowledge of building automation controls (BOMAC) is advantageous but not required.
• Experience in data center environments is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Steam Turbines is beneficial but not required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of ServiceMax is a plus but not required.
• Strong expertise in 19XR, 30CF, and CDU chillers; air-side systems; and water-side systems is preferred but not necessary.
