Humanities/Economics Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Teach designated class schedules and act as a substitute instructor when necessary.

• Provide engaging and comprehensible instruction on mathematical principles.

• Inspire and assist students in preparing for examinations and completing courses.

• Offer individualized tutoring support as required.

• Break down intricate mathematical concepts into practical, relatable examples.

• Adjust teaching methods in real-time to cater to diverse experience levels.

• Monitor student progress and communicate key insights with the eLearning team.

• Collaborate with fellow instructors and take part in team meetings.

• Carry out additional eLearning-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Humanities, History, Economics, Philosophy, Political Science, Social Sciences, Education, or a related discipline.

• Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching adult learners; online teaching experience is preferred.

• Experience in instructing one or more courses in Humanities, History, or Economics.

• Strong background in eLearning or virtual classroom environments.

• Proficient in using Zoom, Moodle, Google Workspace, and other eLearning tools.

• Ability to facilitate discussions, simplify complex ideas, and promote active participation in a virtual classroom.

• Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection.

• A functional computer.

• A noise-canceling headset.

• Professionalism, reliability, strong organizational skills, and excellent time-management capabilities.

• Availability on weekdays and/or weekends.

• Flexibility for morning, afternoon, or evening classes.

• Completion of all application pre-screeners.
