HubSpot Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and optimize HubSpot automations utilizing workflows, custom-coded actions, APIs, serverless functions, CRM cards, and internal applications.

• Create and maintain integrations between HubSpot and external systems using REST APIs, middleware, or custom scripts.

• Build internal HubSpot applications, CRM cards, and extensions to enhance client portals and improve user experience.

• Automate data cleanup processes, property resets, normalization logic, and synchronization across platforms.

• Support subscription logic, deal automation, lead routing, lifecycle stage updates, and complex CRM schemas and object relationships.

• Collaborate with Consultants and Solutions Architects to scope, plan, and implement scalable technical solutions.

• Serve as the technical lead across multiple client projects concurrently.

• Take ownership of technical components such as custom-coded actions, API integrations, and data cleanup scripts.

• Participate in planning and scoping activities, and join client calls when technical context is required.

• Explore creative solutions to overcome HubSpot limitations.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in developing advanced, scalable automations within HubSpot Professional or Enterprise tiers.

• Familiarity with workflows, custom-coded actions, APIs, and custom objects across Marketing, Sales, and Service Hubs.

• Proficient in JavaScript and Python, particularly within HubSpot custom-coded actions and serverless functions.

• Experience with HubSpot Functions or Google Cloud Functions.

• Skilled in integrating HubSpot with third-party tools and middleware using REST APIs, webhooks, Make, Google Apps Script, Zapier, and Google Cloud Platform.

• Knowledge of React, HTML, and HubL is advantageous.

• Experience with process flow tools such as Lucidchart or Miro.

• Strong understanding of system architecture, data modeling, and CRM frameworks.

• Comfortable using Git and engaging in collaborative development workflows.

• Ability to participate in discovery calls, translate requirements into technical specifications, and produce clean, well-documented code.

• Capacity to develop dependable, scalable technical solutions that align with business objectives.

• Problem-solving skills including fallback handling, error logging, and rollback strategies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong prioritization skills and project communication capabilities.

• Familiarity with RevOps, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service operations.

• Understanding of RevOps processes, including lead management, sales pipelines, and subscriptions.

• Awareness of RevOps KPIs and reporting requirements.
