HRSG Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise site operations for the installation and commissioning of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) and related equipment.

• Aid in the installation of HRSG components, piping, and auxiliary systems.

• Analyze sketches and drawings to determine construction and installation sequences.

• Evaluate HRSG installation method statements.

• Document commercial and technical discrepancies utilizing quality records and non-conformance reports.

• Ensure subcontractors and partners deliver inspection test plans, reports, and quality documentation required for system turnover certification.

• Assist in resolving technical issues with GE Vernova engineering and submit Engineering Request cases.

• Review welding procedure specifications and confirm welder qualifications.

• Uphold safety protocols for heavy lifting and assess lifting plans.

• Verify that HRSG piping installation and testing comply with project specifications.

• Supervise hydrotests and the preservation process post-hydrotest.

• Validate cleaning methodologies, chemical cleaning processes, and safety valve settings.

• Ensure waste disposal practices adhere to local environmental regulations.

• Identify and rectify cross-disciplinary site interferences.

• Provide progress reports to the Construction Manager, Site Manager, and TK/SI Installation Leader.

• Prepare and conduct HRSG tests, performance evaluations, and reliability assessments.

• Utilize Process and Instrumentation Diagrams for system verification.

• Assist in instrumentation setup and testing, along with logical checks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Some experience in Project Management, Construction, and Commissioning.

• Knowledge level equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma accompanied by relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with 0–3 years of experience in related Job Family Group(s)/Function(s).

• Strong project management capabilities.

• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

• Proficient in oral and written communication.

• Capability to work effectively within diverse, multicultural settings.

• Proficient in computer tools necessary for project management and communication.

• Willingness to travel for long-term assignments (100%) at construction sites across the United States.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, as required.
