HPC Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and upkeep of InfiniBand and Ethernet network systems.

• Aid in diagnosing network problems, including issues related to connectivity, latency, and performance decline.

• Supervise network performance and health utilizing standard monitoring tools, helping to pinpoint bottlenecks.

• Engage with InfiniBand technologies, such as switches, HCAs, and subnet managers, under the mentorship of senior engineers.

• Support the management and troubleshooting of Fortinet solutions, including FortiGate, VPNs, and firewall configurations.

• Aid in the implementation of network setups, including routing and segmentation.

• Collaborate with compute and storage teams to facilitate HPC and AI workload support.

• Participate in incident response and provide operational support.

• Contribute to the documentation of network configurations and procedures.

• Acquire knowledge and adopt automation tools and practices, such as Ansible and scripting.

• Assist in defining operational and support protocols for next-generation AI infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in networking, systems engineering, or infrastructure positions.

• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs).

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line utilities.

• Experience in data center networking or distributed systems environments.

• Strong eagerness to learn and develop proficiency in InfiniBand and HPC networking.

• Exposure to InfiniBand or concepts related to high-performance networking.

• Knowledge of Fortinet or similar firewall technologies.

• Basic scripting abilities (e.g., Bash or Python).

• Understanding of monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
