HPC Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and upkeep of InfiniBand and Ethernet network infrastructure.

• Aid in diagnosing network issues such as connectivity, latency, and performance drops.

• Monitor the health and performance of the network using standard tools and help identify bottlenecks.

• Work with InfiniBand technologies, including switches, HCAs, and subnet managers, under the direction of senior engineers.

• Support the management and troubleshooting of Fortinet solutions, including FortiGate, VPNs, and firewall configurations.

• Help implement network configurations, routing, and segmentation.

• Collaborate with the compute and storage teams to assist with HPC and AI workloads.

• Participate in incident response and operational support activities.

• Contribute to the documentation of network configurations and procedures.

• Learn and apply automation tools and practices, such as Ansible and scripting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in networking, system engineering, or infrastructure-related roles.

• Basic knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs).

• Familiarity with Linux systems and command-line utilities.

• Experience in data center networking or distributed systems environments.

• Strong eagerness to learn and develop expertise in InfiniBand and HPC networking.

• Exposure to InfiniBand or concepts of high-performance networking.

• Familiarity with Fortinet or similar firewall technologies.

• Basic scripting abilities (e.g., Bash or Python).

• Understanding of monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
