HPC Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and upkeep of InfiniBand and Ethernet network infrastructure.

• Help diagnose connectivity, latency, and performance issues.

• Track network health and performance to identify potential bottlenecks.

• Work alongside senior engineers with InfiniBand switches, HCAs, and subnet managers.

• Support the management and troubleshooting of Fortinet solutions, including FortiGate, VPNs, and firewall configurations.

• Aid in the implementation of network settings, routing, and segmentation.

• Collaborate with compute and storage teams to facilitate HPC and AI workloads.

• Participate in incident response and operational support efforts.

• Document network configurations and procedures thoroughly.

• Learn and apply automation tools and practices, such as Ansible and scripting.

• Operate, troubleshoot, and enhance high-performance network environments while progressing towards a Senior HPC Network Engineer position.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in networking, systems engineering, or infrastructure roles.

• Fundamental understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VLANs.

• Familiarity with Linux systems and command-line utilities.

• Exposure to data center networking or distributed systems environments.

• Strong desire to learn and develop expertise in InfiniBand and HPC networking.

• Background in InfiniBand or high-performance networking concepts.

• Familiarity with Fortinet or other firewall technologies.

• Basic scripting abilities, such as in Bash or Python.

• Knowledge of monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
