Hospice Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver empathetic hospice and in-home euthanasia services within the comfort of pets' homes.

• Operate independently while traveling throughout Westbury, Freeport, Oyster Bay, Woodbury, Levittown, Hempstead, Massapequa, Merrick, Oceanside, Wantagh, Seaford, New York, and the surrounding metropolitan area.

• Conduct a limited number of appointments each day to ensure no double-booking or haste.

• Engage with families, clarify care options, address challenging questions, and assist in providing dignified farewells.

• Collaborate with families and pets in a serene home setting.

• Take part in onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing support initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) is required.

• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.

• Select four weekend days each month that align with your schedule.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs unaided and up to 90 lbs with assistance.

• License verification must be completed prior to the start date.

• A background check is required before the commencement of employment.

• Driving record assessment is necessary before the start date.
