Home Visits Buyer – Jewellery & Antiques

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct multiple home visit appointments each day over 3 to 4 days per week as a specialist and buyer.

• Travel to clients’ residences throughout the South East, aiming for drive times generally within 2 hours.

• Provide assessments and offers for customers’ jewellery, antiques, collectibles, and other valuable items.

• Quickly evaluate items for potential acquisition.

• Maintain a professional, informative, and respectful attitude when interacting with customers.

• Make purchase proposals and negotiate effectively when necessary.

• Clarify why certain items may not meet purchase criteria.

• Occasionally participate in regular buying roadshow events as an expert and buyer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong interest in Gold, Jewellery, Silver, Cameras, Binoculars, Toys, Costume Jewellery, Writing Instruments, Militaria, Music or Movie Memorabilia, and other similar vintage specialties.

• Experience in buying and/or selling antiques, collectibles, and jewellery as either a dealer or valuer in an auction context.

• Proven record of buying and/or selling antiques, collectibles, gold, and jewellery.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Established track record in fostering customer relationships.

• Confident negotiator with solid commercial awareness.

• Commercially astute salesperson.

• Personable, approachable, and trustworthy.

• Valid UK driving licence.

• Access to a personal vehicle.

• Openness to travel longer distances and stay away from home when required by location.
