Home Visits Buyer – Jewellery & Antiques

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct several home visit appointments each day over the course of 3 to 4 days each week as a specialist and buyer.

• Travel to clients’ residences, typically aiming for drive times of no more than 2 hours.

• Offer valuations and purchase proposals for clients’ items.

• Maintain a professional, informative, and respectful manner with all clients.

• Extend offers to purchase clients’ items.

• Engage in negotiations when necessary.

• Clarify reasons why certain items may not be eligible for purchase.

• Occasionally participate in regular buying roadshow events as a specialist and buyer.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong interest in Gold, Jewellery, Silver, Cameras, Binoculars, Toys, Costume Jewellery, Writing Instruments, Militaria, Music or Movie Memorabilia, and other similar vintage specialties.

• Experience in buying and/or selling antiques, collectibles, and jewellery as a dealer or appraiser in an auction environment.

• A keen and commercially astute salesperson and negotiator.

• Personable, likable, and trustworthy.

• Proven experience in buying and/or selling antiques, collectibles, gold, and jewellery.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Demonstrated success in cultivating customer relationships.

• Confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness.

• Valid UK driving licence.

• Possession of a personal vehicle.

• Willingness to stay away from home when necessary based on location.

• Readiness to travel longer distances for client appointments.
