This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Directly report to the Manager of Home Health Licensure & Regulatory Compliance.
β’ Manage the processes for facility licensing and certification.
β’ Ensure continuous adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines.
β’ Prepare and submit applications and renewals for facility licenses to State Departments of Health, as well as federal and local agencies.
β’ Oversee Medicaid and Medicare enrollment, renewal, and compliance activities.
β’ Monitor expiration dates and coordinate renewal processes to avoid lapses in facility licensure.
β’ Foster and maintain professional relationships with internal departments and external regulatory bodies.
β’ Investigate local, state, and federal laws and regulations to support organizational objectives.
β’ Provide clear and concise written reports summarizing research findings.
β’ Perform due diligence and analysis related to healthcare acquisitions, mergers, and facility relocations.
β’ Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.
β’ Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field; relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, facility licensing, or regulatory affairs, ideally in home health.
β’ Familiarity with CMS regulations, state facility licensing requirements, and accreditation standards.
β’ Proficient in interpreting and applying complex regulatory information.
β’ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
β’ Experience in a regulatory or compliance role working with governmental agencies.
β’ Background in working with CMS, Medicaid, and State Departments of Health.
β’ Knowledge of home health regulations, facility licensing standards, and accreditation requirements.
β’ Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees.
β’ Suggested connection types include wireless, wired cable, or DSL.
β’ Capability to work from a dedicated space without interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
